About The Performance
This narrative draws inspiration from actual events involving real individuals, woven into the tale of two lovers, Ron and Julia, who find themselves tragically ensnared in a complex web of unresolved trauma that threatens to consume them. Playwright H.S. Fernandez aims to illuminate what he terms "modern relational dyslexia," a concerning phenomenon characterized by the contemporary inability to establish genuine, enduring relationships. This issue profoundly impacts our capacity to trust one another and undermines our faith in humanity as a whole. The work serves as a profound exploration of the missteps we take in our interactions with others and proposes a path toward reconnection, rather than succumbing to a detrimental hyper-independence that leads to isolation, depression and even suicide.
